​Munich, GERMANY July 30th, 2026 – The dark fantasy RPG, Verho – Curse of Faces, from developer Kasur Games and publisher CobraTekku Games, launches today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch for €24.99. Verho – Curse of Faces transports players to the grim and hostile world of Yariv, where masks are the only way to escape certain death.

Behind every mask lies a distinct class, ranging from the powerful warrior to the agile duelist to the influential spellcaster. At the heart of the system is maximum creative freedom. Instead of sticking to fixed character classes, the game allows for class flexibility in nearly every conceivable direction. This lets you pursue your desired class vision regardless of your initial choice. The gameplay experience is characterized by diverse exploration and challenging combat.

Visually, the game is clearly inspired by the 32-bit era. Low-poly models and grainy textures capture the nostalgia of the PlayStation 1 era. These deliberately chosen technical limitations underscore the game’s dark atmosphere and give it a distinctive character.

  • Mysterious masks and an ominous curse – In a world where showing one's face leads to certain death, the residents are forced to hide behind unique masks. The protagonist sets off for the land of Yariv to uncover the origins of the deadly curse.
  • A sinister world and its inhabitants – In addition to the story of the curse, Yariv is full of NPCs who carry their unique circumstances and traumas. Behind a large number of characters lie further quests, mysterious challenges, and unique personalities.

  • Dark Fantasy RPG in the spirit of King's Field – Verho – Curse of Faces celebrates the dark fantasy RPG genre established by icons such as King's Field. With authentic PS1-era retro graphics, Verho – Curse of Faces offers players neo-retro charm that appeals not only to children of the 90s.
