12th of June, 2026 – Lithuanian developer Elegant Horse Studios is excited to announce that Flipping is Hard, a physics-fueled rage game starring an indestructible 2000s brick phone, is coming to Steam Next Fest, 15–22 June 2026. Massively fun to play and even more enjoyable to watch, this is a madcap platformer like no other, where one wrongly timed flip can send an iconic electronic to its digital grave. This is the upcoming title from Elegant Horse Studios, a small indie team with an unwavering dedication to creating wacky games that’ll make you laugh and probably cry in frustration.

During Steam Next Fest, players can try their hand at a 1.5-hour demo featuring the first leg of Flippy’s odyssey. Discover a taste of Candyland, and master the movements that’ll reunite Flippy the phone with Jeff the human and make sure that he never lets it out of his sight again! The new demo drops on 15 June.
Streamer exclusive demo!
Content creators will get access to their own exclusive demo on 11 June. Be amongst the first players to tackle the whole Candyland level, as well as an exclusive ‘Backrooms’ inspired horror segment that will have you dropping your own phone in fear!

Flip happens
Bend the laws of physics to your will and assume the cellular form of Flippy, a hefty but humble brick phone that has been separated from his beloved owner. Using only the power of rotation, you must navigate a world of forgotten, discarded things to get yourself home. Simple, right? So why are you chucking your keyboard across the room as Flippy plummets to its doom again? And who exactly is the warm, theatrical voice guiding your climb, and why does he seem so desperate for you to stay?
If you didn’t manage to tear out all of your hair playing Getting Over It, Egging On, and Chained Together, this could be your next favourite rage game.
Press Tab to open Flippy’s Phone OS and be transported back to your 00s Nokia – there’s even mini-games like Snake and Flappy Bird, playable on Flippy’s screen!
