Privacy & cookies

This notice explains what personal data PR Hound collects through www.prhound.co.uk, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: press@prhound.co.uk.

Contact form

When you send an enquiry we receive your name, studio or publisher (if given), email address and message by email. We use them to reply and to discuss working together, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We keep enquiries for as long as the conversation or working relationship needs them.

Newsroom mailing list

If you join our press list we collect your name, email address, organisation, role, channel or outlet URL and the platforms you cover. These are stored by our newsroom provider, Prezly, and used only to send you relevant press releases and review-key opportunities, on the basis of your consent. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, or email us and we will remove you.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this site. It only runs if you choose Accept in the cookie banner; until then no analytics code loads and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* (lasting up to two years) and processes data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type on our behalf.

You can change your mind at any time with . Rejecting removes our analytics cookies.

We also keep two small notes in your browser's local storage: your cookie choice, and whether you have joined or dismissed the press list sign-up, so we do not keep asking. Neither contains personal data.

Third-party content

Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when pages load. Some older press releases embed YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube may set cookies once you play a video. Newsroom images are served from Prezly's image service.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email press@prhound.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
